Duke of Earl

Hurricane Earl from the "Eye" of the International Space Station

As we prepare for our vacation, it's batten down the hatches in preparation for Hurricane Earl. While it's projected path doesn't appear to be a direct hit on Boston, we could still sustain some heavy wind and rain.

Coincidentally, yesterday we had the remaining dead limbs trimmed from one of our trees (actually the tree the raccoons were in). There were some branches too close to the wires coming into the house. I wanted to take care of them before winter but the timing was also right for Earl.

Hopefully the storm will go out to sea. I also don't want it to ruin our vacation. Most likely we'll be traveling with it up the coast of Maine.  We're leaving on Saturday.

A safe journey to you! and I hope you have no residual damage to your property. I worry sometimes about the trees around our property in a storm with a lot of wind.
Enjoy Maine!

Enjoy your travel to Maine, you don't have to send a lobster to me, only to the Cajun.

Earl seems to have been wimpy after all; I suspect all is OK this Saturday morning?

Jason, as himself said...

Yikes. I hope everything is okay while you're gone!

All is fine...Earl was, fortunately, a little baby.

Looks like Earl was tame compared to what was feared. Have fun in vacationland!

Rick enjoy your vacation. I just returned from a quick trip up to Lake Winnipesaukee. The lake didn't even get any rain or wind; not sure what it was like down here in Boston but it sounded like no big deal.
