Cruel April Fool's Day

Courtesy of BostonChannel.com
No joke here. I woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow and it's still coming down.  On the bright side...it is spring and shouldn't last long. On the bad side...it's spring!  We shouldn't have snow!

Not that any time is opportune for a snowstorm, but today the guys are coming to finish the plastering. That means they'll be traipsing snow throughout the house and of course we have all the rugs off the hardwood floors to make cleaning the plaster dust easier.  This weekend will be busy.

Also Bandit has his annual check up at the vet today; I need to drop him off for 7:30, so no time to shovel.

Well, on that note I should get going.

It's been rainy here for 2 days and the "S" word crept into the forecast last evening. Fortunately, it has remained warm enough (only just)to continue as rain. That could still change before it's all over.

Good luck up there and be careful on the roads.

Think of it as the "onion snow". (Are you familiar with that folk concept up there?)
Then again, I hope you like onions. :)

Don't envy you the snow or the plastering having just finished a remodel here. Hope all goes well with Bandit. I like your blog and will try to find time to read some of your book.

I almost thought you were pulling my leg, until I looked better at the pic and did a check-up.

Better start cleaning the path to the front door, so not that much of the snow enters the house.

Well, I won't mention the 90˚ temps we had yesterday. Or the sunny weekend forecast for the next few days . . . .

Well as I type we are getting 'your' snow/hail! Thanks Rick!
You are correct....it won't last long.

Thank goodness nothing stuck here in Boston. Turned out to just be a miserable 24 hours, but I think north and west got significantly more snow. Hopefully it will melt quickly.

Sorry to hear about the snow. I understand that's it's not as bad as was predicted, at least for some parts of the NE. Hang in there! It's almost over!

I thought of you when they brought this up on the TODAY show. I hope that Bandit's check-up went well and that the plastering goes without a hitch. I'm waiting until it warms a little bit before I start my re-tiling.

I know you hate that but...
I hope Bandit checked out okay and has forgiven you from being in the dungeon. I mean basement.
New plaster sounds $$$$$$.

My brother's birthday is 4/2; once upon a time it snowed on his day and he nearly had a nervous breakdown at 6yo, poor fellow, for snow in April is a crime.
